In this article I’m going to focus on pressure washers that sit around 2000 PSI, these are what you would call medium-duty power washers to help you I’ve put together a list of the best 2000 PSI electric pressure washer reviews, these reviews are all unbiased, giving you my honest opinion.

Medium-duty units have a PSI range of 2000 PSI to 3100 PSI if you want more than that, then you’ll need to look for a heavy duty pressure washer. Though, depending on the machine’s gallons per minute (GPM) aka water flow rate, a 2000 PSI to 3100 PSI pressure washer could have a cleaning power rating similar to that of the heavy-duty units.
There are many great options out there such as the greenworks 2100 pressure washer, but I’ll show you what I think is the best 2000 PSI electric pressure washer, hopefully helping you come to a decision.

What Can I Use My 2000 PSI Pressure Washer For?
Pressure washers are fantastic tools, and they have quite a wide range of applications.
Both residential and commercial cleaning needs can be satisfied with most pressure washers on this list. Now, keep in mind that here we are talking about models that have a maximum pressure rating of 2000 PSI, if you need more power, it might be worth checking the best 3000 psi pressure washers.
Pressure washers which are in the 2000 PSI / medium-duty range more suited towards home use, designed to handle medium-duty residential jobs, and in some cases light-duty commercial tasks.
If you need to take care of some bigger jobs, you might want to take a look at some reviews I’ve put together covering 2200 PSI, 2700 PSI, or high-pressure washers, as they are better suited for large jobs.
So what can a 2000 PSI pressure washer clean? Well, almost everything!
- Window washing
- Car washing
- Boat washing
- RV washing
- Driveway cleaning
- Patio/deck/porch cleaning just make sure your deck is secured with the best deck screws otherwise water will cause corrosion and staining

Some Of The Best 2000 PSI Pressure Washer Brand Names
Many people tend to skip over to what it means to have a real brand name pressure washer.
The fact of the matter is that you often get what you pay for. It’s worth paying a few extra bucks for a brand named model that is sure to be durable and functional, ultimately we want these to last a long time, something which isn’t always the case with the cheaper brands.
Here are some of the best pressure washer brand names you should take into consideration.
- Annovi Reverberi
- Briggs & Stratton
- Sun Joe
Some Things To Consider Before Buying A Pressure Washer
Before you go out and spend a bunch of cash on your next 2000 PSI pressure washer, there are some crucial things for you to take into consideration, so let’s go over those real quick.
Does the pressure washer you are looking at have any kind of onboard detergent tanks or at least a canister for soap that connects to the wand? If it does then you’ll want to use one of the best pressure washer soaps.
Some jobs need soap because water is not enough. You need one with a soap canister if you want to make the most of your purchase.
While I’ve focused on electric models, there are gas options that fall into the medium-duty range, so pay attention to what you are buying, you don’t want to pick up a gas model when you need an electric one.
Electric models are more energy-efficient, quieter, and they don’t require gasoline, but they do usually have limited power and are also limited by the need for power outlets and extension cords.
As you will see from our reviews, some electric models state that they can’t be used with extension cords, which can definitely be a problem, I actually picked up a cheap wall chaser the other day, didn’t notice that it couldn’t be used with an extension cord and the result? the blades couldn’t cut into the walls. I wasn’t best pleased as the power cord on this thing was stupidly short.
So make sure to check that out before purchasing an electric pressure washer, as that is incredibly annoying.
Gas models don’t need a power outlet, and they tend to have more power, but they are also loud, polluting and smelly.
Nozzles & Pressure Hose
The nozzles and the pressure hose needs to be considered as well. You want either an adjustable wand where you can adjust the spray type right on the wand, or you want a one which features different quick connect nozzles.
Different jobs need different water streams and amounts of pressure, so the pressure washer you get needs to be able to accommodate those needs.
To make your life easier, the hose should be at least 25 feet long, come on some kind of reel, and be kink-resistant too.
Transportation & Storage
To make your life easier once again, the model you get should have either high-quality pneumatic tires or large never flat tires for easy transportation.
A nice cart with a convenient handle doesn’t hurt either. Having a model that is small and compact is another bonus when it comes to both transportation and storage, but that may affect the power output.
Some models can fold down into more compact packages, which is also great for storage.
Look for a pressure washer that has more metal than plastic, that said plastics these days work really well, I’ve not had a problem with my pressure washers and they feature a lot of plastic, though the plastics do tend to fade.
If you are going to spend a few hundred bucks, pay a little extra for a model with components that are built to last.
Motor – Adjustable Pressure
While this article is focused on 2000 PSI electric pressure washers, that doesn’t mean you don’t want or need the ability to adjust the output pressure.
Different jobs need different amounts of pressure, there’s no point throwing every pound of pressure your pressure washer can produce at a delicate surface, so having an adjustable model is definitely a bonus.
The Pump – Water Output
Besides the fact that you want to make sure you get a pressure washer with a high-quality pump, you also want to make sure that it has a high water output, well, has a GPM that you can support.
If your outlets can’t produce 3 GPM then there is no point in buying a pressure washer that needs 3GPM, if you need to work out how much GPM you can support, take a 5-gallon bucket, and start filling it from your outlet, when you start, start a timer, stop after 60 seconds.
Measure how many gallons are in the bucket. That’s the GPM you can support..
Many models have an adjustable water output feature so you can control how much water comes out. Some 2000 PSI models can put out as little as 1.2 gallons of water per minute and others as much as 3.5.
Having one with a higher water output is preferable and having one with an adjustable output is even better.
Is 2000 PSI good for a pressure washer?
Most light-duty electric pressure washers will produce 1300-1700 pounds per square inch of pressure (PSI) usually with a water flow of 1.5 gallons per minute (GPM). Medium-duty pressure washers and these are the ones typically recommended by experienced contractors fall between 1900-3000 PSI and will have a flow usually around 2.5 GPM to ensure that they can clean dirty concrete effectively.
2000 PSI is perfect for your residential electric pressure washer, it’ll do all the jobs you’d need without breaking a sweat and those more difficult jobs which a heavy-duty machine is better suited for, it’ll give it’s best efforts, they’ll just take a while.
What is the best pressure washer to buy for home use?
After a long period research, a few weeks of using these pressure washers models to clean all sorts of surfaces such as cars, patio furniture and much more, I wound that the best pressure washer for most homeowners to be the Sun Joe SPX3000 2030 PSI Electric Pressure Washer.
What can a 2000 psi pressure washer do?
I mentioned above a range of surfaces that can cleaned with 2000 psi pressure washers, but you can clean virtually anything that you put in front of it. It will be able to clean oil stains off of your driveway, I know I’ve done this. Pollen off your home and all the other things that using a high-pressure washer can achieve, except stripping paint or graffiti, unless you pair it up with a wet sandblasting kit.
Is 2000 psi safe for washing a vehicle?
When pressure washing any car you need a pressure washer which can produce water with a pound per square inch (PSI) amount of 1200 to 2200. That’s not to say you can’t use a pressure washer that produces more, but much more care must be taken unless you want to strip the paint off of the vehicle.
I’ve found 1900-2000 PSI to be the sweet spot, were causing damage to the paintwork to be rare while being able to get that perfect touchless clean. Do keep the spray wand a few inches away from the surface, and I don’t advise using a turbo or high-pressure nozzle!
