PowerStroke tools is a very well known company which is dedicated to making a wide variety of power tools. They specialize in outdoor power equipment. PowerStroke strives to deliver durable machines that exceed its customer’s needs.
Their pressure washers are powered by either a Yamaha or Subaru motor which has a good reputation in the power washing community.
I’ve put together an unbiased PowerStroke PS14133 review, Why? because this is an economical light-duty residential model that offers more than enough power for residential cleaning tasks. I’ll test the machine and share my views on its pros and cons, and hopefully some other useful information about the unit.
PowerStroke PS14133 In The Field
The Powerstroke PS14133 pressure washer comes with a 13 amp electric motor which is situated on a durable frame with a roll-cage style design.
It’s incredibly compact and easy to store away when not in use. The unit providers 1700 PSI or pounds per square inch, at 1.2 GPM or gallons per minute of water flow rate, these figures give this a total cleaning power of 2040. I tested this model according to its user manual over a variety of surfaces, which as led me to say this. Don’t let the low PSI rating fool you, this pressure can deal with a lot of dirt.
It only weighs 32.4 pounds making it a fairly light model, even more so when you compare it to its performance range, it’s dimensions are 16.5 x 20 x 33.5 inches, so nice and compact.
PowerStroke tools used the roll-cage design to give this whole unit stability and massive amounts of protection. The looks are great, with it’s blue, black and silver coloring, it really is pleasant to look at.
The frame itself has an integrated hose reel for easy hose storage. A feature that I enjoyed was that the frame also had a place for all of your nozzle attachments, which are located on the onboard 1-gallon detergent tank. With a tank of that capacity, you will never have to worry about carrying around a bucket of soap or spare detergent.
The PS14133 also comes with a 20-foot high-pressure hose and roughly 15 feet of power cord. While the two combined do allow you to cover a wide area, It may need an extension cord and I advise getting one, it really does make life a little easier when using this power washer.
This machine comes with a set of 3 different quick connect nozzles to tackle various cleaning jobs. You get a turbo nozzle which is perfect for your more built-up or worked in grime, such as cleaning sidewalks and driveways.
The 15-degree ( yellow tip for washing) nozzle is slightly less powerful but that’s not a bad thing, it’s a nozzle that’s designed more for washing surfaces suck as decks, fences, and house siding – especially if you have some difficult stains. Just make sure that your deck is built with the best wood screws to prevent any staining.
Lastly, you get the black soap nozzle, this is a low-pressure nozzle which is designed for applying cleaning chemicals and washing sensitive surfaces such as windows. This nozzle paired with the one-gallon tank gives you a washing and dispensing ability, tough stains.. what tough stains!
The PSI produced by this far-reaching electric power washer is low enough that if you clean your car you don’t have to worry about that you make take off the paint when you pass over a door, for example, I personally think this pressure washer works really well for cars, so if that’s why you are looking at this one, buy it now.
So while this won’t take the paint off your car, if you do need to remove rust and paint then pair this with the best pressure washer sandblasting kit and job done, I removed some flaky paint and rust off a wheel barrow.
This video below is about a similar model from PowerStroke, but should give you more ideas about the brand and its products.
Warranty Policy
Powerstroke tools have worked on creating a strong and dependable relationship between its customers and the brand itself. If you find that your pressure washer stops working, you are advised to contact the company directly and not the retailer who sold you the pressure washer.
You can contact them by phone, email or even mail. They will instruct you on how to proceed in the next steps. You get a 2-year limited warranty on this specific model. However, be advised that the warranty doesn’t cover “wear and tear-prone items”, this includes the wheels, cotter pins, high-pressure hose, trigger handle, and nozzles.
Usually, you see a 90-day warranty on these “wear and tear” items so I’m not impressed by this.

The power cord is rather short at only 15 feet long.
Frequently asked questions
Are PowerStroke pressure washers good?
There’s no such thing as a perfect pressure washer, it would be great if there was, but they all have their own quirks and drawbacks.
PowerStroke is no exception, but that doesn’t make these bad units, I personally find PowerStroke pressure washers to be good, they are usually well placed in terms of cleaning power and price, so you get a lot of bang for your buck and these days, that is an important thing.
Is 1700 psi pressure washer enough?
Most light-duty electric pressure washers create anywhere between 1300-1700 pounds per square inch of pressure (PSI) with a water flow rate of 1.5 gallons per minute (GPM). For residential use, this is absolutely perfect. But for more experienced contractors I recommend looking for 2000-3000 PSI and a water flow rate of at least 2.5 GPM to clean dirty concrete effectively.
