Simpson Cleaning company has been knocking out cleaning machines for over 50 years. They know what they are doing, which is why they are so popular with residential and commercial customers.

Since their beginning, they’ve dedicated themselves to producing heavy-duty cleaning machines that pack a lot of power.

The efforts of the Simpson Cleaning company where noticed by the larger international FNA Group, which bought Simpson Cleaning in 2006 and helped their dramatically expand in the USA.

So I’m putting together this unbiased Simpson MSV3024 review. It’s a good model with enough power to serve both as a residential or entry-level commercial cleaning machine. I’ve tested this unit, and I’ll share my views, pros and cons, and other useful product information.

Do note: Simpson has decided to discontinue this model, A good alternative is the Simpson MSH3125, you can check the details for this which is also one of the best gas pressure washers in the links below.

Simpson MSV3024 In The Field

The Simpson MSV3024 is a gas-powered pressure washer that has been designed to be able to handle a wide variety of cleaning jobs.

It runs on a 190cc Honda GCV190 OHC engine, which has a 1-quart fuel capacity. This Honda pressure washer 3000 PSI can pump the water flow rate out at 2.4 gallons per minute (GPM). This gives this Simpson MSV3024 a total cleaning power of 7200. That’s enough grunt to attack the majority of stains on just about any surface.

The MSV3024 is a beast, it excels at blasting away dirt and grime. It runs on gas, so that means you don’t have to worry about dragging around a power cord, or if you are like me, tripping over the damn thing.

It weighs only 62.5 pounds, which may sound like a lot, but for a gas power washer, it’s average.

The engine and pump are mounted onto a heavy-duty frame, which is attached to two 12 inch never-flat tires. This gives you excellent mobility on just about any surface or terrain, the upside to the added weight is that it makes sure that it doesn’t randomly roll away from you, or shunt off because of the pressure output.

The unit also comes with a 30 foot-long high-pressure house. This is a decent length. You’ll be able to walk a lot of lengths and cover a wide work area.

The frame itself comes with a tray where you can store your 4 color-coded pressure washer spray nozzles, these are all quick connect so attach easily.

Each serves a different purpose, covering a wide variety of stains and surfaces. The nozzles you get as standard are 0-degree red nozzle, 15-degree nozzle, 40-degree white nozzle, and the black soap nozzle.

This range of pressure washer tips means you can cover a range of applications from light washing of your car and windows, to dealing with more stubborn dirt, such as grease on your bbq grill, you can see other applications in our electric power washer reviews.

The spray wand has a fantastic safety feature built-in. It has a trigger lock to prevent injury, you have to release to lock to engage the trigger, this is great as this pressure washer pushes out 3000 PSI and can cause real damage is blasted onto something or someone in close vicinity.

The Simpson MSV3024 also comes with a maintenance-free Axial cam pump, this is a fantastic pump paired with its easy start Honda motor, you are going to get reliable performance throughout this units life.

The maintenance-free aspect means you don’t need to do oil changes to keep the pump working, but you will have to ensure that you winterize it if you expect it to last more than a few seasons.

This doesn’t feature a system such as the Total Stop System found on other pressure washers, so make sure to never let your engine and pump run for over 2 minutes while not spraying water, the pressure will build up in the machine, and the pump will overheat without cool fresh water running through it, which will lead to damage.

Warranty Policy

Simpson Cleaning has put the time into creating a customer service which will help with any issue their machines sometimes face, there is one annoyance in that they tend to change their authorized service centers often.

If you have any problems with your pressure washer, you just need to get in contact with customer services, not the retailer! And they’ll tell you where to take your unit for closer inspection.

The attachments and accessories that come with the pressure washer are covered for 90-days with a limited warranty. The frame and pump have a 1-year limited warranty. The engine, however, is covered by Hondas warranty separately.

If the unit is used commercially, honda will provide a 1-year limited warranty on this motor.

Since Simpson Cleaning does the machine assembly, no matter the issue, you first need to contact the company to find out what’s wrong with the pressure washer.

What Can You Clean With Simpson MSV3024?

The Simpson MSV3024 is a mighty machine, which is designed to punch stains into next week. I used it according to its user manual to clean my cars, windows, wooden fences and decking, unpainted bricks, my bbq grills, and also my driveway.

I also hooked up a pressure washer sand blast kit and had a crack at some surfaces that needed paint prep.

If you use the proper nozzle tip for the job, the Simpson MSV3024 can handle anything from light to medium duty cleaning jobs, heck even heavy-duty jobs in some cases.

It’s capable of working for longer periods than most residential cleaning machines. Still, you do need to be careful and make sure that the engine or pump doesn’t overheat.

Pros

This is a durable, reliable gas-powered pressure washer that is incredibly versatile and can handle most medium residential needs. However, this unit also has potential for commercial use.

Its design makes this a compact model that is much easier to store than most other gas-powered pressure washers that weigh more than 100 pounds.

Cons

Because of Simpson Cleaning’s policies, should you face any issue with one of their unit’s you’ll need to be patient. This is whether it has a malfunction or has broken down completely.

Simpson Cleaning uses proprietary parts, so as long as you have a valid warranty, all parts must be replaced by one of their authorized service centers.

Besides, other more generic parts might not work in the same pressure washer and installing them voids the warranty.

The unit is a little prone to overheating and will breakdown is left running without spraying water.

Wrap Up

If you are after something that has a chunk more power than your garden variety pressure washer, then the Simpson MSV3024 is a good pressure washer.

It’ll tackle dirt, grime, grease, oil, and much more.

Simpson makes very durable units that rarely breakdown, though you do have to use it in the ways described in the manual if you do, then you shouldn’t have any issues.

The never-flat tires and solid frame offer fantastic mobility, and the attachments you get give this pressure washer a wide range of versatility.

The owner’s manual is surprisingly easy to understand, and the unit itself is simple to operate.

If you are looking to start your own commercial business, this is an excellent entry-level model. Still, I would recommend something with more power to handle your cleaning business needs.

I hope that I’ve covered all the important points in this Simpson 3000 PSI review. If I’ve missed something, please let me know in the comments section below.
