Generally speaking, I’ve always been a tacky grease user. I’ve used Lucas Red n Tacky for years, it has a wide range of applications, and you can use it for a wide variety of different applicants and machinery without any worries. It’s just one of those greases that I keep in the workshop.
This next Lucas Grease is labeled as Heavy-Duty, but that doesn’t mean that you should overlook the Red n Tacky grease. For the most part, Red n Tacky will work on the majority of heavy loads. What I specifically like about the Lucas Xtra Heavy Duty Grease is that it lasts a really long time. So I don’t have to worry about regreasing my machinery too often.
If you are looking for a general grease to use across a wide variety of different applications, then the Lucas Red n Tacky grease should be your first port of call.

Lucas Xtra Heavy Duty Grease
The main reason to use Lucas Xtra Heavy Duty Grease over the Red n Tacky grease is that it is better at surviving at higher temperatures. If you need a grease that’s going to last longer than your regular grease, then this is a good heavy duty grease to go for.
If you use Red n Tacky on bearings and other machinery that is going to experience extremely high temperatures, then you are going to have issues, the grease is going to melt at those high temperatures. That’s not the case if you use the Xtra Heavy Duty grease, it’s been specially designed to survive in those extremely high-temperature environments.
Also, asides from handling those high temp environments, this heavy-duty grease is going to last longer than regular grease, it’s been designed to be heavy-duty, and as such it has no problems standing up to abuse, so you will reduce toe need to continually change greases, which is a common problem with ‘normal’ grease.

Like the other greases, this grease describes it’s main use in its name. It’s been specifically designed for use in marine and underwater use.
While other types of grease won’t wear away if they get wear from a rain shower, you need a special kind of lubricant to handle the underwater environment, so if your machinery or vehicle is going to be submerged underwater for extended periods, then you need a special marine grease.
I’ve used this for years as I find it’s ideal for my boat trailer, I found by using the Lucas Oil Marine Grease I didn’t have to regrease my trailer bearings as often. It lasts a good while, and it really does protect you from rust, regardless if you are submerging into freshwater or saltwater.

The best heavy-duty grease has to be the Lucas Oil 10301 Heavy Duty Grease.
Lucas Oil includes a polyurea base to ensure that this product lasts four times longer than regular grease. This grease is virtually waterproof and is plastic safe. It can be used as a lubricant in steering systems, high-speed bearings, U-joints, and any other mechanical joint.
